The Press Room (formerly Vanilla Lounge/Fever) is a brand new refurbished venue, much different from the dirty seedy days of Fever! Now knocked through into one large room, the venue has a great intimate vibe to it, harking back to the days of the Lux. For those of you old enough to remember, itÕs not the first time we have hosted nights in this venue. Back in 2005 we put on a series of gigs, including the likes of The Noisettes, The Longcut, Yeti, Jim Noir, Pure Reason Revolution, Five O Clock Heroes, Shit Disco and a very early Arctic Monkeys gig attended by just 30 people! Over the years we have brought you guest DJs such as Ryan Jarman, Carl Barat, Mani, White Lies, Belle & Sebastian, Kaiser Chiefs, Mighty Boosh, Bez, Shaun Ryder and gigs from the likes of Babyshambles, Delphic, The Fall, The Maccabees, Jamie T, The Bluetones, and much more. WeÕre constantly on the lookout for great bands and guest DjÕs and weÕll continue to bring them to you in the future..
